PAWS & PINTS Fundraiser

In support of The FOCAS Program at Rancho Coastal Humane Society and The FACE Foundation.

Our commitment and partnership

La Jolla Veterinary Hospital is not only a very proud member of the La Jolla Community but also a very proud member of the animal welfare community in La Jolla, San Diego County and all of the surrounding communities. We are dedicated to helping animals become pets and improve the lives of animals that have yet to become someone’s family member. These animals dwell in local shelters, foster homes and unfortunately on the streets of San Diego County and counties beyond our city limits. All of our staff members work at La Jolla Veterinary Hospital because we share a passion for helping the helpless, caring for those who cannot express their pain or discomfort and loving the pets that so many people call their own. We feel that the time has come to contribute more than we ever have to the pets that are not patients of ours and are not owned by our clients. It is time for us to step up to the plate and do what we can for the animal welfare community as a whole.  As a veterinary hospital and a member of our community, it is our responsibility to lead the way and to facilitate ways for our neighbors to better the lives of homeless animals here in our community and beyond our borders.

That is why we will be partnering with our friends at F.O.C.A.S. and Rancho Coastal Humane Society, in hosting our 4th annual "Paws & Pints" Fundraiser. We will be fundraising through both silent and live auctions at the event. The auction items are all donated by local businesses in our community. There will also be a raffle with featured items such as San Diego Padres tickets and many other fun items donated by friends of all of our partners. F.O.C.A.S. stands for “Friends of County Animal Shelters” and was started in La Jolla by local La Jolla residents Peggy Howell and Sue Geller in 1982. Part of the proceeds from the event will be donated to F.O.C.A.S. in honor of Peggy Howell, who passed away in 2013.

We are also excited to announce that we will again be bringing on the F.A.C.E Foundation this year! The FACE Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides financial assistance for San Diego animal owners who are unable to afford the cost of their pets’ emergency veterinary care. They aim to prevent economic pet euthanasia in San Diego County and La Jolla Veterinary Hospital whole-heartedly supports and recognizes the extraordinary efforts of this organization! The funds raised at this event will both benefit F.O.C.A.S and The F.A.C.E Foundation.

Dr. Marilyn Seals, Dr. Julie Breher, Dr. Lidja Gillmeister, Dr. Carrie Bone and all of the staff of La Jolla Veterinary Hospital will be attending the event and want to personally invite you to this very special event. Please join us to celebrate this wonderful organization and all it does for the animals in all of our communities!
